The Memory Weaver by Jane Kirkpatrick is based on a true story that took place during the mid 1800s. The story is told alternately between young Eliza and her deceased mother's journal. Eliza also has flashbacks during her telling of the story. These three different telling a didn't work well for this reader and while I finished the book it really didn't captivate me. I found it to be very slow moving and rather dull. I have enjoyed other works from this author and wouldn't hesitate to read her again. This book was provided for review by Revell.
