Things I Never Told You by Beth K. Vogt is the story of Payton and her relationship with those around her, mostly centering on her sisters. The story is told from the point of view of three characters and flows easily from one to the other. Payton's relationships are broken and she doesn't know how to fix them. The story drew me in right away and then got slower as the book went on. By the last few chapters I was just scanning the pages to get it over with and onto the next book in my TBR pile. I liked the mending of the relationships and the ending of some others. I didn't particularly like the conversations with Pepper (who's been dead for ten years) as it felt weird.
In all, this book has a redemption message that comes across very loud and clear. Some readers might be turned off by this because it seems more like preaching than what you'd expect to find in a novel.
