Dark Ambitions by Irene Hannon

Dark Ambitions, by Irene Hannon, is the latest in the Code of Honor series. This one grips the reader from the very first page and is filled with twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. I enjoyed getting to know Heather Shields and Rick Jordon as they teamed to find out what happened to a missing army buddy of his. A simple investigation leads to murder, politics, greed and danger. This book kept my attention throughout.
The only time I was stalled was when one character uttered, "Holy sh--" (written just like that). We are getting closer and closer to the world when we use this type of language. Why not just say, "He swore"? Or why not just write the whole word out at this point? It's like the censor bleeping on TV these days. What's the point? We all know what was said and we are all now thinking it. Very disappointed in the author and in Revell for allowing this.

This book was provided for review by Revell.
