Present Danger by Elizabeth Goddard

Present Danger, by Elizabeth Goddard, is book one in the Rocky Mountain Courage series, but reads as if it’s book two. Perhaps some of these characters were from an earlier series? I felt a little lost in some places, but was able to just ignore those parts and read. The book opens with a plane crash and has several other intense scenes, none too scary. It is a clean read and avoids sexual situations and crass language, which I am grateful for. Jack and Terra seem to have a past, I would have liked to have explored that more because it didn’t seem as deep as it ended up being. I liked the dementia angle that was woven into the story and the simple explanation for it, a reminder that sometimes symptoms come from medicines or a change in routine. In all, it was a book that kept my attention and I was entertained with it for several hours.
