Among the Innocent by Mary Alford

Stop the presses! Finally, an Amish book I loved. Among the Innocent, by Mary Alford, steps away from Amish Fiction as you know it and invites a murder mystery into the realm. It was so good. I set aside my list of things to do and just sat and read. Mostly mystery and suspense with a little romance thrown in. A clean read that is appropriate for adults (due to subject matter).

Leah's family is murdered in front of her when she's a young Amish teenager. The killer let her live but has now returned to take her life, but not until he kills several others first. Leah is now a police officer and is investigating the deaths while trying to stay alive herself.

Twists and turns and a devious villain make for suspense that will keep you awake at night. A great read provided by Revell for review.
