This is Where it Ends, by Cindy K Sproles, is the first book I have read of this author and the first I've even heard of her. Unfortunately, this book is not for me. I had a very hard time getting into it and finally put it down and then just forgot about it. The main character, Minerva, did not win me over and I didn't care about her. I didn't like the Appalachian-type writing/spelling and found it very hard to concentrate on because I wanted to correct it. The BIG SECRET BOX didn't even draw me in. I found myself uninterested and then, once I put it down, I totally forgot about the book. When I found it again I honestly dreaded picking it back up because I knew it was going to take time and concentration. I prefer a book I can just read and enjoy and not one I have to decipher while reading. This is not for me.
