Guest post by my husband...enjoy!
Back on Murder by J. Mark Bertrand is a detective novel about Roland March. This out of graces detective struggles to get back his position of top detective. When the murder of a local gang leader coincides with the kidnapping of a well known teenage girl, Roland attempts to connect the two investigations, only to keep coming up short.
Looking at multiple crime scenes while living out his daily life, Bertrand is able to pull his readers into the character of Roland March. With a great plot and well developed characters this book was able to quickly grasp my attention.
