Newton & Polly by Jody Hedlund

Newton and Polly is the story of the life of the writer of the world's most famous hymn. Long before John Newton penned Amazing Grace, he fell in love with a girl named Polly and had to work for years to turn his life around and grow into a man worthy of her love and hand in marriage. This is a beautifully written fictional account of their lives and love. This book drew me in from the first page and kept my attention throughout. I've come to trust Jody Hedlund for historical fiction that engages my mind and spirit. This is one not to be missed.
