Jesus Rose for Me by Jared Kennedy

Jesus Rose for Me by Jared Kennedy is an exciting way to teach children about the true meaning of Easter. It's a board book (which is always a plus because they last longer in the hands of children than regular books) filled with cheerful and colorful illustrations by Trish Mahoney. Each page reaffirms Jesus as the hero. In a world of super-heroes and fantasy, this book helps teach children about who really matters. It approaches the crucifixion story in a way that isn't scary and is easy for children to understand, and it celebrates the resurrection with joy. Several pages have scripture references that you can look up and read with your child, and there are some pages with conversation questions so you can discuss what you're reading. This is a great way to teach children and to further your own walk, it's always a good thing to remember what Jesus did for us.
