The Happy Camper by Melody Carlson

Labeled as Contemporary Romance, The Happy Camper, by Melody Carlson read to me more like Juvenile Fiction. The story was cute, I loved reading and learning about restoring vintage campers, but the characters were dull and, in the case of Dillon's mom, Margot, annoying. The longer I read the more I felt like I was reading a book about and aimed towards young teenagers. Everyone, save Dillon's grandfather, acted like they were adolescents. There was an overuse of exclamation points, which distracted me from the story. I finished the book because I've been a fan of Melody Carlson's for well over a decade and I've grown to love her writing and her clean books, but even the ending was disappointing. This is not the finest example of Carlson's writing. I look forward to more from the author, but this one was disappointing.
