Until Leaves Fall in Paris, by Sarah Sundin, was a privilege to read. I usually read books within a day or two, but allowed myself to read this slowly over the course of a week. It was lovely. I found myself sobbing at several times near the end (always a marker of a good book!) and cheered at the ending. I love wartime stories and this one, set in the WWII era, is among the best I've ever read. Lucie was a great character and I enjoyed getting to know her, written so well I felt like she was a real person and not one in a book. I enjoyed the blossoming love between her and Paul, and how she wrestled with her feelings to stay true to her convictions. This was a clean read and was worth the hours I spent with it. I would love to see this as a movie one day, though I was able to easily watch it play out in my mind as I read. Truly an honor to read this.
I wish all books were like this one.
