Looking for Leroy by Melody Carlson

Looking for Leroy
, by Melody Carlson, is one of the sweetest books I've read in a long time. A beautiful love story. Clean and tender. Brynna makes a last-minute decision to join a friend on a camping trip. The trip stirs memories of her first love. As the trip continues through wine country in California, Brynna begins a search for Leroy, that first love. With a tenderness I've not seen in a book in a long time, we travel with her as she finds him and we witness the awkwardness of trying to rekindle a love after thirty years. This book made me smile. I loved every minute of my time with it. Appropriate for all ages. Brought back happy memories of my own camp romance....except I married him :)

From the back cover:

It's official: Brynna Phillips is done with men. They only break your heart. But just when she makes this declaration, her friend Jan convinces Brynna to join her on a camping vacation in Sonoma County Wine Country.

As they wind their way toward their destination, speaking-new mini camper in tow, Brynna recalls her teenage camp romance with a boy named Leroy. How can it have been thirty years ago? All she remembers is that Leroy was a genuinely good guy and that his family owned a vineyard - in Sonoma. She doesn't even remember his last name. Undaunted, Jan insists they look for him...and the search for second chance at love begins.
