The Lost Melody by Joanna Davidson Politano

This author weaves a story unlike others I have read before. This one falls firmly in line among her others and leaves the reader with a lot to ponder. The way she strings words together is beautiful, sometimes as lovely as the story itself. I love a novel by her because I know it will delight my mind. This story follows Vivienne Mourant on a quest to find answers about the portrait of a stranger that's been hanging in her home for her entire life. Little memories spark something inside her and then she finds her father has been paying an asylum to care for someone for years. She gets a job at the asylum, looking for answers. Answers are hard to come by and she finds herself a patient instead of employee. Trying to free herself and find answers is a big task. She learns to lean more on the Lord and allow Him to use her while she is there.

A beautiful story that reminds the reader who really is in control.

Highly recommended. A joy to read.
