Body of Evidence by Irene Hannon

Body of Evidence, by Irene Hannon, is the third in her Triple Threat series. I missed the second but didn't feel like I had been left out of anything in the series (no worries, I ordered it just before writing this review). What I love about this author is that she grabs my attention on the first page and keeps it throughout the novel. She writes romantic suspense without any sex or bad language. Keeps it clean the whole time. While some themes may be too much for younger readers, and there is some edge-of-the-seat suspense, she is generally a clean read.

This book follows Grace, a pathologist, as she tries to decipher an odd occurrence in several autopsies. What does a sunflower seed have to do with the sudden cardiac death of a few elderly people in this small community? Sheriff Nate Cox is new to town and as they work together they not only solve the case but fall in love. This is well-written and I could see it playing out in my mind as I read. Would make a great movie!
