The Grandfathers DVD

The Grandfathers continues the story of the Saint family and their work in Ecuador with the Waodani tribe after the murder of the missionaries who were trying to reach them as seen in the film The End of the Spear. This is more of a documentary than a movie, but the graphics and style are geared towards younger people. This would be a great film to show to a youth group because it captures your attention with real-life footage and action and yet gives a powerful lesson of forgiveness and grace. It takes less than an hour to watch and is one that the whole family can view together.

Narrated by Jesse Saint, grandson of Nate Saint, it chronicles the decades since that unfortunate day and shows how the seeds that were planted have come to fruition. The joy on the faces of the tribal elders is proof that they've changed their lives from their old ways (of the spear) to now serving the Lord.

This film has been awarded The Dove Foundation seal of approval.
