Becoming Free Indeed by Jinger Duggar Vuolo

 This book shows how deconstruction should be done, or disentangling, as Jinger refers to it. A very important book for the Christian community, Becoming Free Indeed, by Jinger Duggar Vuolo, is her story of separating herself from the cult-like behavior of Bill Gothard's teaching that she was raised in, to learning the truth of the Bible and how to apply it to life. Her sister, brother-in-law, and (now) husband helped her unravel and rebuild. 

I was intrigued when I saw this book. I had seen the television show a few times and had was familiar with the family, but was never a fan. Something just seemed off. And now I know what it was. 

Jinger handles the telling of her story and growth with grace, but doesn't shy away from acknowledging the false teaching she was raised in and she proclaims the truth of God's word with boldness. She is a young lady with a lot of experience, some not so good, who didn't claim victimhood but instead turned it into a learning experience and turned to the Bible to find answers. This is how it should be done! A beautiful example of the goodness of God. Kudos to Jinger for the courage to share her story, I hope it helps people who have been disenchanted by their church experience - helps propel them back to the Bible so they can truly be free indeed.
